belgian FJ class

boot met klasse!

As our site was in its first days frequently visited by non dutch-speaking persons, on this page you can find a summary of the site, relevant for non-Belgians.

If you have any question with regards to FJ in Belgium: please contact us at wouter (.) verheyen (at) law(.) kuleuven(.) be

Every month the Belgian FJ class organizes a training for the Belgian sailors, starting from this year however we will also organize some trainings for an international audience.
At these trainings, on saturday an international top FJ-sailor will give a traditional training. On sunday a small regatta will be held whereby the same trainer will give feedback in between the races on the performance.
Some top-sailors agreed to give these trainings in spring, exact dates can be found later on on the website!

Most regattas in Belgium are 1-day regattas, so not very interesting for an international audience.

A saturday training (see supra) may however also make these sunday regattas more interesting. These small regattas will all be held at lake galgenweel in Antwerp and can be found at the calender.

With regards to the Belgian DNB-cup regattas, once again there is a change: the belgian championship stays in Antwerp at the last weekend of september, but the other regatta will change. We will probably stay at Grevelingen-lake, but participate in the BENELUX-championships, held at the weekend of august 15th. For further information: check this site later on!

In addition to our other regattas we are also planning to organize a fun-weekend. If you have ideas you can always send an e-mail! The result can be seen later on this season.

Do you have nice pictures of a FJ-regatta including Belgian boats?

Please give us the link, and we will put him on our site as we did with other photo-pages

or send the pictures to us and we will make a photo-report of the regatta as we did with Gregor's pictures of the Gulcher-regatta.
